Optimize Ultimaker Cura for Klipper

⚙️ Basic Machine Settings

Settings > Printer > Manage Printers > Machine Settings

Setting	Value
G-code flavor	Marlin (Klipper compatible)
Start G-code	START_PRINT command
End G-code	END_PRINT command

🚀 Start G-code

Delete all existing codes and write only this:

START_PRINT BED_TEMP={material_bed_temperature_layer_0} EXTRUDER_TEMP={material_print_temperature_layer_0}

⚠️ Important: Don't forget to delete Cura's default heating, homing and prime commands! These are already defined in the START_PRINT macro in printer.cfg.

🏁 End G-code

Delete all default codes and just write:

END_PRINT

🔧 Recommended Print Settings

Speed Settings (Optimized for Klipper)

Retraction Settings

Setting	Direct Drive	Bowden
Retraction Distance	0.5-1.5 mm	4-6 mm
Retraction Speed	30-45 mm/s	25-40 mm/s

🔌 Moonraker Connection

Install Moonraker Connection plugin to print directly from Cura:

1 Install Plugin

Marketplace > Search "Moonraker Connection" and install

2 Add Printer

Printer Address: http://RASPBERRY_IP:7125

💡 Tip: You can now print directly with "Print via Moonraker" from Cura!
